PwC welcomes Xavier Verhaeghe to lead Technology Consulting

Verhaeghe brings 26 years’ experience in digital products & services

The ongoing wave of technological disruption continues to drive strong demand among organisations for expert guidance and support in revamping their business models for the digital age. In line with our enduring commitment to invest in this area, PwC Belgium is delighted to announce that Xavier Verhaeghe will be joining the firm as Partner to lead our Technology Consulting practice as of March 1st 2019. Xavier brings with him 26 years’ experience in digital and data-driven innovation, cloud transformation, emerging technologies, business applications (CRM, ERP, SCM, etc.), data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine language, data lakes, information security and CIO advisory services.

“Our approach to digital transformation is a holistic one, based on our BXT - Business, eXperience and Technology - methodology, which links our Technology Consulting practice with our Strategy and Management Consulting practices,” explains François Jaucot, Partner and Consulting Leader at PwC Belgium. “Xavier’s previous roles with a proven track record for driving growth at Oracle as Vice President Technology Solutions for Europe, Middle East & Africa and as Country Leader BeLux means he’s particularly well suited to leading our Technology Consulting teams in this transverse approach to supporting our clients’ digital transformation.”

“We’ve always maintained a strong focus on our Technology Consulting capabilities, bringing the right expertise on board, and investing in growth opportunities,” states Lieven Adams, Managing Partner of PwC Belgium’s Advisory practice. “Last year we opened our Experience Centre in our Brussels office and completed our acquisition of Human Interface Group, and we continue to expand our offering in Cloud, robotic process automation (RPA), Blockchain, IoT, artificial intelligence and data & analytics. Xavier has the perfect combination of consulting experience, acquisition integration and management to help us align and deploy our capabilities in a fast-moving and highly competitive market that is in full transformation.”

With two decades at Oracle and six years at Accenture before that, Xavier has a keen appreciation of what businesses need. “The pace of change and enormously broad range of emerging technologies today is an excellent opportunity and a huge challenge for businesses, simply in terms of prioritisation,” comments Xavier Verhaeghe. “Our mission is to work with them to think about the future of their business model, identify opportunities, evaluate options, assess the investments required and then work together to make it happen. I have seen internationally the strengths of PwC’s ‘Strategy through Execution’ approach and it is something I really identify with, as well as their commitment to helping both their clients and people be the best they can. I’m very excited to be part of the team!”

Xavier is Belgian, 49 years old, is married and has two children. He holds a Master Degree in Management Sciences and a MBA (Solvay Business School (Brussels)), complemented with programs at the University of Chicago and the London Business School.

Bridging the AI Gap: youngsters and men use AI frequently, women and ‘more experienced’ workers are hesitant
Diegem, 14 May 2025 – According to a survey conducted by PwC Belgium, only one third of Belgian workers who spend at least an hour a day on a computer regularly use general AI applications like ChatGPT. The survey indicated lower adoption rates among older employees and women for daily use of Generative AI. Surprisingly, the data shows that as employees spend more hours working on their computers, they tend to show less interest in using AI tools. Xavier Verhaeghe, Technology and Innovation Lead at PwC Belgium, states, “Although AI is becoming more prevalent in workplaces, a significant portion of the workforce has yet to embrace these technologies.
